If you have followed us for any time at all, you know how much I love an FJ60 with a Cummins R2.8 and 5 speed. I drive 70 miles to work each day through the mountains of Colorado and I would go so far as to say that these are among the most drivable classic Land Cruisers of all. They combine respectable power and good fuel economy. A combination that is hard to achieve in a Land Cruiser.
 This Land Cruiser, on consignment by the owner, is a project from about three years ago. It is an incredibly low mile example with no rust. The 60 came to us with the refurbishment already done. It is a good paint job, but whoever did the work took a couple of small shortcuts that I don’t like,choosing not to remove the glass and door handles before refinishing Still, the paint job itself is way better than average and the body and frame are in excellent condition.
We performed most of the modifications on the vehicle. These included a new Cummins R2.8 H55F 5 speed conversion with air conditioning, giant cooling system, and mechanical fan. we have performed 55 of these conversions to date, and definitely have it refined and sorted. The engine conversion results in a very highway friendly cruiser with great fuel economy.
Other modifications include our PRLC dual swing-out rear bumper, ARB front bumper with rigid light bar, ARB roof rack, power/heated 100 series Land Cruiser seats reupholstered in OEM replica cloth, 3 pt retractable seatbelts for the rear passengers. PRLC Tuffy center console, and a double din stereo system.
